Anyone want s'more?

Okay... hokey title, I know.

I came across this recipe a few weeks ago and was waiting for the right occasion to make them. Our friends threw a BBQ party at the beginning of June to show off their new house. I figured this was the ideal occassion for s'more bars. The bars are super yummy and very sweet. I would totally make them again, but next time I need to sit farther away from them. I honestly ate more than half of the pan!!

S'more Bars
(Source: Betty Crocker)

Ingredients
1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix
1 cup graham cracker crumbs [I used half of a graham cracker box]
1 cup butter or margarine, melted
3 cups milk chocolate chips (18 oz) [I had open bags of semi-sweet, butterscotch and white chocolate chips, so I used a combination of all three... but no where near 3 cups worth]
4 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows [one full bag of mini marshmallows]

Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, stir together cookie mix and crumbs. Stir in melted butter until soft dough forms. Press into ungreased 13x9-inch pan.

Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until set. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Let stand 3 to 5 minutes or until chocolate begins to melt. Spread chocolate evenly over crust.

Set oven control to broil. Sprinkle marshmallows over melted chocolate. Broil with top 4 to 5 inches from heat 20 to 30 seconds or until marshmallows are toasted. [I set the time for a full minute, so mine are extra toasted. Word to the wise: watch these closely. I was moments from a fire.]
Cool 10 minutes. [I recommend you wet your knife several times to cut through the marshmallows... they are really sticky]
Really tasty. Really sweet. Really easy. Repeatable. Definitely.

So with the S'more recipe (looks awesome!) - do you think this is somthing you can serve the next day or is it a 'serve immediately' treat??

Thanks!!

For sure!! It can TOTALLY be served the next day; in fact, that's when I ate most of them! But if you want it warm, microwave it for a few seconds to remelt some of the chocolate. :)
